Patricia Quintana Bidar is a professional copywriter with a passion for creating powerful, engaging donor communications that help nonprofits raise funds — as they create and maintain great relationships with their donors.
In 2001 Patricia began working with Mal Warwick Associates (MWA), where she was mentored by Mal Warwick, one of the world’s most highly-regarded experts in direct response fundraising. She also managed nonprofit clients’ direct response fundraising programs, and presented “How to Write Successful Fundraising Letters” workshops to professional fundraisers.
As a freelance copywriter for nonprofits, Patricia produces donor appeals, major donor communications, newsletters, annual reports, bequest promotion mailings, and monthly giving club launches. Also a seasoned grant writer, Patricia has written scores of successful proposals to foundations and corporations.
Patricia holds a Master's Degree in English from U.C. Davis, but she is a fundraiser as well as a writer. She worked five years as development manager for Building Futures for Women and Children, and three years as development associate at Girls Incorporated of Alameda County. She is also experienced in Raiser's Edge database management.
